I think BA and Gutherson are very similar, and rightly or wrongly I blame them for our game management. I am not a BA or Guth hater. When Guth first played for us I was just about the only one supporting him and calling for him to be fullback and until recently have been a staunch BA supporter. Still like them both and would like them to stay but not more than wanting to see our dumb plays stop and the buck stops with the coach and captian.
For years we have played like a boxer who runs at the opposition as soon as the bell sounds throwing haymakers. We seem to be fixated on scoring tries. All that matters is winning and that does not mean scoring tries. Smart teams like the Storm prioritise wearing down the opposition so they are too tired to score and too tired to defend. They work at the defence so the defence expects the opposite of the end game. They only strike when the time is right. Trying your attacking set moves at the start when the opposition is fresh and alert is not likely to succeed. We need to set up our opportunities over time and be aware of opportunities that arise and take advantage of them but not run an attacking play at the wrong time just because we want a try now.
We need to stop being a dumb team playing park footy and start playing like smart professionals.
Buck stops with the coach and captain on this and I do not think it is either of their strengths. I am just sick of dumb play - therefore I called for them to be sacked.

We need to stop playing the must score plays, we make a break then fuck it by throwing a dumb final pass. Take the tackle and then apply pressure. Our thought process in the first 20 should be play safe and get to our kick, then MM needs to step up with a good kick, then we need to chase hard , make ther back 3 work hard.
Sides will make mistakes when pressure is put on them. We have no super stars who will stand up and win a game so we need to do it as a team. BA and his coaching staff need to step up and show they can have this team playing as a team All sides have a weak spot, BA needs to plan to open these weaknesses.
I think 2021 will decided who stays and who goes with our coaching staff. With 14 odd players of contract the board may hold off on signings till mid season just to see how BA is traveling. A new coach may not want some players.

SACK JUNIOR, GUTHO AND PAPA!
Gutho sets a good example in terms of dedication competitiveness and effort. But captains also need to know how to play smart. How to turn things around when they are going wrong. Gutho does not seem to me to have these qualities - yet anyway. JUnior, Gutho and Papa all played awesome but we played dumb footy in te first half - again. Captain takes the blame.
There was a time when we just needed to settle and stop the mistakes. Gutho decided to take a quick tap and we drop the ball next set trying to score a try when a good pportunity was not there. Quick play the ball may have been a good option at another time. But a good captain knows when to make those plays and when his team just needs to settle.
Like Gutho but do not like him as captain
Definitely sack the guy who was a point away from Dally M player of the year last year, was selected for Origin, regularly is the most active player on the field and is the Club's best trainer. Yeah, definitely sack that guy. We don't want that kind of player in the team or in a leadership position. What were we thinking? We are all insane. Obviously.
That is not enough to be captain.

Agree with BA but not Gutho, Guth is a quality nrl player imo but you make some fair points mate.
BA 1000% agree but you must seek immediate psychiatric help saying Gutherson needs to be sacked .
Take Gutherson out of the side and Parra will barely win a game , I have a sales manager in the office who is depressed because his girlfriend left him , I'll show him this blog to give him a giggle .
