Why don't we have a Facebook Page?

Just a simple question to the Moderators. The Blue and Gold Army have one and I'd be happy to start one and add the Mods as Administrators. I'm not on this site everyday but I do go on Facebook everyday amd we'd have a wider audience. It's also easier to control because you block someone straight away as soon as they start talking crap and they can't just make a new profile and join again. BTW I'm talking about a page for 1 Eyed Eel not the Parramatta Eels.

    I'm just thinking we could have a wider audience and it may encourage more Parra supporters to join the site. After all we only have about 2,000 members on this site and we could quite easily increase the members of this site very quickly through Facebook.

    I know you guys do a good job in trying to mod this site but I could help you guys out. I already run 2 Facebook Pages and just think, with more publicity, the Swarm could also grow. ATM the only people who know about it are the people on this site and current members who were sent the membership package. For mine it's a way Facebook users who aren't on this site but support Parra can learn more about the club without having to go through the club's actual Facebook page which actually gives nothing away. You'd might as well just go on the website and as for the BGA page it just repeats what the Parramatta page does. The Kennel's got a page and not many other supporter's sites actually have one.

      I think its a great idea. It would increase the amount of publicity and exposure ten fold.

    Yeh, as pointed out we do have a page but its basically just got an automated feed flowing into it. If you've got any ideas for doing a bit more with it let me know.

      I saw that and the thing with the automated feed is that it clogs people's news feeds. I know I don't want to have an update on my news feed everytime a blog is added. I think it could be used a page where rumours can be aired and people can comment rather than 10 blogs are started on this site which just becomes annoying.

    I'd like a FB page,  I'd also like an iPhone app.  I know it would be hard to make one and not expecting one. But it would be cool.

    On the other hand I have to give it to 1 Eyed. The mobile version of the site is very easy to use
