Would love to hear your opinion on the above but surely you have noticed for as long as I can remember Eels fans have always looked to next year. Be it this junior coming through or this guy signed etc.
Lets be honest our recruiting for next year with Foran and Scott is pretty solid and there is a chance of a full back potentially if you read the rumours BUT...
Last year I remember specifically people saying with Peats and Manu back and Tepai coming through etc we'll be better for this and that next year. Then Beau Champion and Ritchie F and Danny Wicks etc etc.
Personally I am sick of it. If I look at our top 25 argue with me all you like but I think we have a pretty good bloody side!
Its only round 10 of 26 guys!!! Lets all hope we can actually do something this season because personally I am sick and tired of hearing about "next season"!!!
Rant over, and go the Eels!

I never give up. I'm still confident we will make the 8.
The line up this week is very good minus 1 player. I would easily like to see 16/17 on the roster there full time.
Drop Kelly and put Norman there, Peats at 5/8 and De Gois at 9. Junior Paulo is back next week if I remember correctly, there is our 17 squad.
We are only 4 points out of the 8 (depending on F & A). It's not that bad! Little changes make good teams
I'll agree here ... Rant over. Go the Eels!
WAKE BIG G you are dreaming
Simple, because that's what we do when things turn to sh..t during a season. It allows us some respite from the depression we all start to feel.....AGAIN!
We'll talk round 26 :)
LIKE!!
Well said Frankie. No like button on this comment so I'll type it.
BECAUSE THIS YEAR IS F***ED!!
We have been looking to "Next Year" since our last GF win which was probably years before you were born.
We looked to Next Year even when we were winning Premierships.
Win the GF and what is left to do? Look forward to Next Year.
I am 34 mate. I've been here (technically) for all 3 premierships... :)
When year after year false hope dilutes into the year in question ultimately showing about as much chance of success as the Japanese rugby side in a world cup, there is little else you can do.
Mathematically are we out of the running this season? Not quite. But we're odds on for the wooden spoon again and betting markets are usually a very good indicator.
If the boys turn it around and string together a few wins, the conversation will change. Until then, you can hardly blame people for looking forward to "better times ahead".
