  • It still looks very wrong even now to see Sterlo and Zip Zip in a Manly jersey. Zip's even got the Manly shorts!

    • LOL I never noticed that. Changing shorts!!!! LOL Gross.

  • Can't help you for the reason but traditionally we always did it after GFs all through grade and rep teams in 70s
  • Yep!
  • Sounds right. Thanks

  •  spoils of war!

  • Same as in test matches but once the players knew the value of memorabilia they tended to swap their spare jersey(s) after the game back in the sheds.

  • I remember reading this artical that the Parramatta Eels sponsors were very upset because Manly Sponsor Wormald were getting all the exposure. It kind of stop after that, I remember them swapping shorts and hats in later years. Tony Charmers or Mick Delroy swapped after 1986, and Sterlo said you should always keep your first, I remember he managed to get it back from I think Andrew Farrar.
    • Sterlo was turned down by Graham Eadie with the jersey swap. Sterlo was about to be interviewed and asked Eadie if he wanted to swap, but Eadie apologised and said no. Don't know why?
