  • Hell yeah sounds like a plan!

  • i don't think we are getting penalized more than other teams it's more that during game we seem to get penalized for something the opposition get away with. Like the poor play the balls on sunday.

We are pretty ill disciplined no doubt about that but our opposition are no saints ethier just seems they don't get as penalized as they do. It's inconsistency really.

  • There is one main repeat offender i think of and thats Joseph Paulo, the guy just doesnt get it, your not allowed to lay all over a player anymore and take too long getting off and he does it with every tackle
    • Also Ben Smith and Tim Mannah average 2 a game each

  • Because we lack discipline, can get lazy at crucial times and vent our frustrations by giving away penalties. A vicious circle.

We do all the hard work in defense and then undo it all by letting the opposition march up the field and put pressure on our already brittle defense, generally leading to points.

Other teams may get away with things that we don't, but complaining won't help us on game day.

If we can't compete with top 4 or top 8 teams in attack and defense, at the very least we should be playing smarter footy.

    • Hip hip hooray - the only post that makes complete sense here - lack of discipline and poor match awareness are the real culprits eating away at Parra - the sooner BA sorts this the better - mind you lack of discipline and poor match awareness have part of parras play for YEARS - which of course comes back to OTHER PROBLEM - lack of leadership on the field especially
  • The eels dont contribute to the referees xmas fund no more, thats why
  • @ Daniel, because he wants to be noticed as he can not tackle, only when 2nd or 3rd man in and even then he usally falls off. Totally agree with you and he should be dropped as he offers nothing.

  • because we can play the ball properly

  • Over the years we've had different coaches using different styles and tactics yet through that whole period the one thing that remained constant was that we get heavily penalised most of the matches we play. Eels coaches have worked with the refs and the refs boss to solve this problem but still it persists. So is it the team itself or the refs that are the problem?? I'll let u sit and think about it for a while.

"Well they (NSW) base their game plan around Mitchell Moses long kicking game, Strnage is a gun player but when we're in a tight grind and possession not going our way Moses can just kick us to a win with field possession."
