In yet again another extremely controversial call by referee Matt Chechin in the Warriors vs Storm game at AAMI Park in Melbourne that gave the Melbourne Storm opportunity to level scores to 12 all with only a few minutes left in the game and giving Brodie Croft opportunity to win the game with a field goal and a 4 - 1 penalty count favouring the Storm in the second half had commentators, Warriors fans and Warriors players and coach Stephen Kearney scratching their heads in disbelief. It is just so obvious that the Melbourne Storm are continually given favours by referees allowing them opportunities to not only come out of their red zone but also opportunities to win games even when they are clearly not the better team on the field. Like Geoff Toovey once said " there really needs to be an investigation " and the sooner the better before fans start taking matters into their own hands. This has been going on for years.

They certainly get the rub of the green.
Was this the decision where a Melbourne player clearly tap the ball forward with his foot when playing the ball and they let it go or was that another one. They are leaving the whistle in their pockets this year which has slowed the ruck in certain stages of games. Last year the refs were sending players off when teams were holding down too long I haven’t seen a binning for this as yet has anyone else? Parradise I think will see more calls go our way
Michael Jennings
Thats the one Davo! It was clearly an error by the Storm player. I mean blind Freddy could see it and yet the referee gives the Storm a penalty in front of the posts to level 12 all! Disgraceful.
It was a clear penalty. Jesse Bromwich was to his feet and tried to play the ball and the markers were crowding him. Clear penalty.
Brett you must watched a different game! It was a clear milking by the Storm player and the referee accommodated Bromwich as they always do for Storm players.
Its the decisions where the whistle gets left in the pocket where the mistake is as clear as day that gets me too Monto.
Monto just before the bell went for half time in tonight’s game. Souths go to sleep on top of the Penrith player. Bwhawhawha did you see it where’s the 10 in the bin. See what I said above you can now hold down as long as you like???Im lost I’m just a simple man
That penalty was a good call, two players were pulling his head down when he was trying to play the ball, the problem is we are use to them letting it go and then calling lost ball by the tackled player. Absolutely nothing wrong with that call, should be called evrytime.
You’re right HKF, problem is it isn’t called everytime.
And it's never going to be.
