  Like I said during the call, you guys were talking down the Dragons like they were knuckle dragging mouth breathers coming last on the ladder. They were 1st place on the ladder, and not without reason! The fact they had lost a couple and were getting stung by everyone, and then the combination of the Eels making the 8, losing some players and not needing to win really came together to bring this result. That said, we can still fire up for next week with Hindy and Guru back now they know what you really need to do to be competitive with the competition favourites.

  This game is a reminder that we have done very well this year. To win 7 games in a row like we did was remarkable and full credit should be given to our team and Daniel Anderson. Admittedly we have probably over-achieved with the squad we have this year in comparison to others but in saying that this is not the end of our season by any means. We can still be a threat in this competition and we still have the ability to go on with it. This game has given us a good inidcation of where we are at and where we must get to, to go another level. There are only positives to draw out of a performance like this.

  there's optimism and just plain stupidity. It's great we made the eight but once again, we're making up the numbers. Another belting is waiting in the wings for next week. Sorry guys, it's the cold hard truth.

    No, you and cgee221 are both wrong. I knew we were going to get beaten tonight before the ball was kicked off but there were well documented reasons for that. We have a very classy squad -stronger than most clubs in most positions. Player for player, we're a more talented squad than the Dragons but they wanted it more than us last night.
    
    I still don't think we'll go all the way this year but that's not because we're not able to, just that we left our run too late and the younger players will be physically and emotionally burned out come the end of September.
