Who will debut from pathways in 2026?

I am counting the days until March for us to play again. Who are some players that showing promise that can make debut in 2026. Do we have any upcoming stars/ representative players?

Also as snapshot how is our juniors compared to previous years and other clubs stocks like Penrtih, Dragons, Roosters, Broncos and Bulldogs.

Understand we made finals in all junior competitions so we do have some talent but like some more information on our future Eels

  • I'm calling it now Lorenzo or those second rowers that resigned idk there names

  • Richie, Latu.

Twiddle is a chance . Is he viewed the backup to Iongi or would they switch Papalii to FB and bring someone else to 5/8 if Iongi is ever unavailable?

Funa-Iuta, Lorenzo, Popo are real smokeys.

Even bigger Smokey's would be T Brown, Talagi, Lokeni, Dom De Stradis

    • I think the likes of Teancum, Neemia, De Stradis, Will Lewis are at an important juncture. Josh Lynn too. I'd be surprised if half of those are still on our books by March.

      • yep most will leave for an opportunity. I wouldn't keep Lynn or Neemia

  • This is who I think in order

1: Richard Penisini ( if he stays injury free )

2: Will Latu ( if he stays injury free )

    3: Twiddle

4: Lorenzo ( more likely back end of the year )

    5: Funa- Luta

but I guess it depends who has the best off season and trains the hardest. ( prime example was R Smith this year

  • I think Twidle and Richie are the ones MOST ready to handle first grade. Somewhere in the back 5 IMO. Richie if he has a good pre-season will start at left centre IMO.

After him, Latu barring injuries WILL make his debut. No doubt.

Then you get the glut of 19/20 year olds that we've been talking about: Talataina, Funa-Iuta, Lokeni, maybe Nanva.

Otherwise, I think most are still a year off.

    • You're correct Yehez in thinking 'Most are still a year off.'

      I watched Ryda Talagi yesterday....Consider he's a moral to reach 1st grade.

He's got it all and loves carrying the ball up.

And if we make Neemia a project for 28 and introduce him to Fui's old walking machine, with his leg speed and size we'd have our new Fui. We must get him fit.

      • Ryda was very impressive yesterday. I recon he is a better prospect than Tuivita

        • I've always said you're a good judge EA.

          • Haha thanks won't always be right. I see you still have hope for Neemia? Given his 22 next year and the other more promising forwards at the club, I struggle to see a future at this club for him.

i feel after his injury, he didn't come back the same. Looked unfit and less strong in his carrys. His form to start the year was good enough to get him a cup debut.
