Stone for me Chief; and Tep did debut in 2014. That is a while ago. He has done well.
Same, and no doubt Brad thinks the same, weve been a lot better since we stopped promoting overrated shit eels juniors, we are better off buying players in like brads doing, if the junior lads are good enough they will make it.
This is the exact system i advocated for all my time on this site, our recruitment was the lowest and poorest in RL before BA got here and we had too many overrated juniors getting chances and we put off signing talent because there was always a junior we were relying on to come good which rarely happened.
We dont need any more Mannahs.
Im fully backing BA on this one chief, we need players who are up to the task and fit in with our squad, if Brad would prefer to import players i think hes doing the right thing.
If a junior is good enough he will make it.
I think Stone will get a chance this year through injury and i rate him highly.
Leleisiuao isnt an eels junior, he was bought in.
I just want to see a few of the boys mentioned above given a chance to impress with some short stints off the bench if they are doing well in reserves.
We'll see.
I understand your reasoning but to give a bench spot to a young bloke for the reasons youve mentioned is something you can easily do when you are a bottom of the ladder team like weve been for the best part of the last 30 years, youve got nothing to lose.
But if we want to be a top 4 team like Brads creating theres not much room for that, you have better depth and quality in your team, positions open up less.
I dont think we should have players like frank pritchard or Gower on the bench though, they are they type of guys that id be looking at to give a few young guys a go but we have no youngsters that have the body shape of frank, im certain thats why brads kept him, because we are so thin on big bodies.
I'm talking about a player that has been brought in by the current coaching staff and making his nrl debut for the Eels.
Only Bureta Faraimo from memory has done it.
