In the past, we have always had players who were our "fallguys", the player that fans used to like to bag the most and be used as a scapegoat for our losses.
Some memorable fallguys - Dykes, Finch and "The Great" Todd Lowrie (excluding his final 10 games for us)
Now that Tautai has also left, along with some other dead wood, it seems like there is no player in our roster who will be our "fall guy".
Can't speak on behalf of other fans, but there is not 1 player in our team this year that i don't like. Hopefully this is a good omen for us and we go 1 better and win the title
Your opinions are wlecome on this subject..

He's too old. He should have retired last year. His back ended contract is costing us too much. Blah, blah, blah.
In my opinion though, my chosen underdog for the year will be either Jeff Robson, Tim Mannah, Tom Humble or Shane Shackleton.
1. He will be a rep player in a FEW YEARS TIME. Currently, his form, while great, is not good enough to earn him representative honours. Many players have the potential to be representative players, i.e. Tim Smith, but never get there.
2. Saying a player is one of Parramatta's best forwards is not a huge call, as we all know that our forward pack has always been our weakness. Behind players like Hindy and Fui Fui there were few stand outs last year, especially considering the form of players like Brod Wright, Brendan Oake and Weller.
Tim Mannah has enormous potential, but as a young forward he still has a long way to go. Young forwards take time to develop strength and often cop criticism as they go through this process. Further in a team full of players like Hayne, Hindmarsh and Little Morts, Tim Mannah appears to be a little bit of an underdog to me.
Finally - sorry for such a long post - but I don't think this post is so much about a fall guy - underdog is the perfect way to describe it. Not everyone is a champion in our team, which means some players are slightly under appreciated - I think its the under appreciated that this thread is trying to highlight.
Todd Lowrie was playing like a busted until he seemed to just throw caution to the wind and back himself - he played really well after that and everyone, myself included got right off his back because his improvement was a major reason for our late season surge.
He has one more season to impress before young guns Mitchell Allgood an Mitchell Johnston will be competing for 1st grade prop positions.
I hope he kills it this year. He no doubtedly has a lot of potential
The number 7 will always be deemed the fall guy at Parra until we win a comp, rightly or wrongly.
but yeh i think if players start underperforming this year it eill be easiest to jump on Captain. M.Keating.( who even took a bit last year when kingston was making that impact off the bench), Robbo might cop it a bit but hes a champ i hope not. Possibly Mateo or Inu. Just because we know how friggin awesome tanlented and skilled players they are. If they underperform and arent consistant they will start gettin the jeers.
But i currently love this years rosters hopefully everything i said will be wrong and not happen
* Jonathan Wright
* Nathan Cayless
* Jeff Robson
* Brendan Oake
* Etu Uaisele
Some or all of these at some stage will be our fall guy is my bet.
