Who will and who won't make the 8

Looking at the latest likely team lists I reckon there are six definite teams that will play semi finals and 3 that will miss out. But that means there are 7 in the middle group including the eels that are playing for two spots. In no particular order I think:Certain misses- knights- dragons- warriors (prepared to write them off)Certain semi finalists- broncos- storm- panthers- cowboys- raiders- roostersPossibles- eels- sharks (Controversial I know)- rabbits- tigers- titans- sea eaglesI think we can finish ahead of Tigers, titans and sea eagles. That means only two of the eels, sharks and rabbits will play semis this year. Discuss.

  • Of course I missed the dogs as they will be penalised for being over the cap. No, they will be in the race for the last two spots but we will finish ahead of them.

    • The Roosters have a very strong squad at full strength and are even stronger this season.  Last season even with all of their injuries and suspensions they still were very competitive and lost something like 8 games by goal kicking alone.  With Gordon joining the fold they will be super competitive because they will now win the close games.  If they have a good run with injuries they will be top 4 again and be a good chance for minor premiers.  Most importantly Pearce needs to stay injury free and on the park.  There is one very unusual thing about the Roosters top 25 in that they have 6 genuine halves in their top 25 which is unheard of.  Conner Watson looks like the next kid on the block and could push Keary out of a job by season end.

  • I am with you Jimbo Sharks will not make the 8. My controversial tip is Penrith to struggle. They will lose players to origin plus I think Wallace will struggle to put two years together in the hooker role and Reign is shit. Cleary is a special talent but I think he will not have the same impact this season.
  • Storm
    Cowboys
    Broncoes
    Raiders
    Roosters
    Eels
    Panthers
    Rabbitoes
    Titans
    Sharks
    Warriors
    Eagles
    Tigers
    Dogs
    Dragons
    Knights
  • As long as we are in the 8 and the sharks are not I will be very happy

  • Certs for mine

    Raiders

    Cows

    Panthers

    Broncs

    Eels

    Storm

    Possibles

    Souths

    Tits

    Sharks

    roosters

    dogs

    warriors slim chance

    No chance

    Saints

    Knights

    Manly

    Tigers

I think the dogs and warriors could implode, so could the tits, tigers and Manly, 4 destable clubs and the tits.

  • Roosters? Really? I think they will be about 10-12th in all honesty. They have a decent side but Are far from a top 8 certainty. I see them like manly last year. Many are tipping them for finals. Or even top 4 but could fall flat badly.

    For me

Bulldogs out Titans could be out (depends on Hayne)

Eels, Rabbitohs and Warriors fighting for the last 2 top spots.
  • Certs for me no particular order : Cowboys, Raiders, Panthers, Roosters, Sharks, Eels. Teams fighting for the other 2 spots Storm, Brisbane, Souths, Warriors & the Titans. I know most people won't agree & that's fine
