There's been so much talk about Sandow recently. As everyone knows, he's off contract this year and should by playing to impress, assuming he wants to stay at the Eels. I'm pretty sure he's said in interviews this year that he would like to stay.
So lets say he has been dropped to Wenty due to form (aside from the car crash incident) and fails to get his act together before the end of the season. I'm guessing we'll want to sign a halfback who is a little more reliable and less erratic with form and consistency.
So which team in the NRL would pick him up? Which other team would want or need Sandow as their starting half, or would another club buy him as a backup? I can't see him going to the ESL, as I imagine it will be too much of a culture and climate shock for him, not to mention living so far away from friends and family. Will he just give up the game and move back home with his family (Cherbourg), as he suggested he would when Ricky dropped him?
Not trying to stir things up, but keen to hear what you guys reckon? For me, he just seems like too much of a gamble. Though it depends on who we can get as a replacement to pair with Foran, or do people think Norman can do that job effectively?

I'd like to see Chris stay and become the best half in the Comp. Sadly I don't think that will ever happen.
I reckon he'd be the perfect fit for Bulldogs they would be desperate for an attacking half.... If he did go to Superleague, he'd be a superstar over there with the way the game's played there, more emphasis on attack.
I would be happy for him if that happened. He's certainly got talent and it would be great to see him shine in the right team.
Sharks or England.
To get a decent contract at Parra you need to be at least 30, having your best years behind you, and signed to a long term contract!
Sandow rose to fame behind a very disciplined and hard hitting forward pack at the Bunnies.
Eels have had NO discipline since 2010 so imo Lil' Chrissy has not had a chance here.
I keep saying - Thurston and Cronk would struggle behind our pathetic forward pack.
That said - I think the signs are there that BA will use him as an excuse for bad coaching and he won't be re-signed.
Agree 100% Col, our lightweight pack just can't compete for 80 minutes. With additional size coming this week, and hopefully next, we should be more competitive. I have stated for several years now that the underperformance of Chris in the first 2 years was due to our very poor pack. When BA improved them Chris also improved.
