Plenty on here are advocating for a new Head Coach. It’s time to put your money where your mouth is and name BA’s replacement. So who is it going to be?
I’d like to stick to realistic answers only. (Bellamy ain’t coming, neither is Bennett, Gould is no longer interested in coaching). I’m particularly interested in hearing from the most vocal BA critics too.
So if you were in charge, who are you naming as our new Head Coach?

This is the biggest issue, there isn't any real decent coaches running around. I don't know who the answer is but it needs to be changed.
DEMETRIOU!
Agree. Winner and knows how to coach.
I'm sticking with Arthur. I see improvement this year and like the recruitment and changes that have been made to the team this year. This team is miles ahead of what we were dishing up last year.
Last night was f*****g shit but i'm not judging the whole season on one shit game. A win next week will heal my scars.
Also, our recruitment is still ongoing. DWZ would be a huge plus for us and there's plenty of chatter about others.
And, really, who's available that has the authority and/or experience to guarantee instant success. Do we want another rookie that will need to build "his team" over the next few years while we continually, patiently wait for success?.
I'd give BA another year. Last night was brutal but, at the moment, unfortunately we have a roster that has one of those performances in them. I'm assuming the club will be waiting 'till June as per plan and the next few weeks will continue to shape their final decision.
If one of the greats was available - sure - but they're not.
Have you forgotten the Raiders and Knights games already. If we were improving we'd at least match Raiders and beat the Knights who were last. Saturdays embarrasing lost is one of many large losses we've had each year under BA so imo we've taken two steps forward and three steps back.
Kram, You are one brave soul with brass balls. Respect mate.
For me, after 511, it's ultimatum time: We're at a fork in the road now.
If the Eels don't come out firing, like their lives depended on it, over the next few weeks I'm putting a broomstick through the joint.
The biggest problem is the lack of great coaches available and we lack a strong leader, like Politis, Bellamy, Bennett. And even Bennett failed with the Knights and we're the two worst performing teams of this decade.
I’m happy to stay with BA!! But I would move him on for Toovey.
I said a few times last year that BA should’ve been sacked. I softened this year due to improvement in the teams performances but really it’s all just an illusion.
Like chief states in another blog, if you look at our team objectively have we really improved?
Our starts to games are of a concern and the team has for the most part changed from last year. The only common factor remains BA and he has a history of not being able to lift this side mentally.
I understand there are limited options around but really, do you stay in a bad marriage because you think your next partner will slap you around more? BA has had 6 years, that’s long enough for me to say we need a change of the coaching team and a new set of eyes and fresh ideas.
He may be a good bloke but we simply shouldn’t accept these types of results, as a club we always do - herein lies our problem and willingness to change and improve.
Ask about Flannos ban, find out what Tooveys up to. Look at some of the assistants and look over seas. It’s not a change for the sake of it it’s simply a change that’s needed.
Name a name Frankie boy.
I’d go with Toovey if pushed...
This is why they should’ve jumped last year when there were some good coaches available.
Bernie sat on his hands whilst the club coaching merry go round took place.
We should’ve moved but didn’t only fortifying the bald headed one position - we are now stuck with.
