I am continually surprised as to why we have some many supporters and members. Not that we are not worth supporting it is more that if all Eels fans are like a lot of people on this site we should be lucky to have a few hundred...
I get that blogs are for people to share opinions and thoughts, and it often makes for great reading, but if coach bashing was a Olympic sport some of us would be better than Usain Bolt...
Dont get me wrong, it is very frustrating to watch and many points raised on here are right about the team could be right, but is coach bashing the answer?
Lets be objective about BA.
Name a coach that has been through years of issues such as salary cap drama's, player off field incidents etc. Yes coaches like Bellamy have been through similar instances but nothing to the extent of BA.
Now he may end of falling on his sword at any time or maybe the club will move him on, but what or should i say who is the answer???
On the other point it is easy for someone to criticize from the outside, i know heaps of people that are not qualified tell me how to do my job but that doesn't make them right. If anyone on hear is a first grade coach or has any coaching experience even in reggies then perhaps we should listen, other than that we are all the same frustrated punters looking to blame someone.
So please keep up some of the blogs are they do give me a laugh but for the love the Eels lets actually support our team and out people for once rather than think that we have all the answers.
Unless Bellamy is available lets put some support and faith in BA

It seems a lot of people here know plenty more than BA, hes not a god mate.
Many of us knew the Evans signing was garbage and stated it at the time,, we all thought we needed a hooker and never bought one, we all thought tims a shit capt, we all said out front row is garbage and we lack size.
Many of us know Bevan French isnt 1st grade standard, we all know hes keeping too many retirees and clogging up the 30 with garbage.
Theres a lot that many of us have known for a long time that BA just doesnt seem to get, i think hes a very slow learner, he puts too much faith in the wrong men and is obviously a very poor judge of a leader.
Brad needs some help because currently he is setting us up for a huge fall down the track, we are suffering it now.
He's basically doing a Des Hasler to us now unfortunately.
Agree he is no god, and as i said he may fall on his sword, but what are the options?
Yes our roster options may be getting old but they were good enough to get us to 4th last year
Look at Melbourne, they can win premierships with no bodies. Yes BA is not Bellamy, but i still dont see any better options.
Interested in your comment about Bevan. When he was scoring at a-try-a-game everyone said he is the next big thing. He is behind a faltering pack and no more to blame than anyone else.
Yes BA needs help. All i am saying is that we all criticize from a position of not knowing the inner details for working as a part of a professional sporting organization
These sites are literally built so people can have their say. That's why this forum exists.
If having your say means you disagree with the direction of the team or any other aspect of our club then speak up.
Personally I think BA is a very good coach who also deserves our gratitude for holding our club together through the entire salary cap debacle. 2016 was a complete train wreck and the only person left showing any leadership was BA. He'll always have y respect for that. He's also a Parra boy through and through and never dodges blame or responsibility. We finished 4th in 2017 and that's no fluke.
My issue with BA is he's shown a real lack of foresight and planning with regards our front row. We've neither gone to the market for a top line Prop, nor have we developed our own big bodies. This severe lack of size in the middle was obvious from the moment BA arrived and he's done nothing about it.
I feel the club needs to re-look at the entire football department set-up as currently it seems like BA is attempting to do it all single-handedly.
It would help if we had constructive criticism eg we need some bigger props
rather than lynch mobs forming just because we are losing. Last thing we need is to go back to instability.
Also one of my criticisms of BA is that he seems to be worrying to much about the short term - winning this weekend, rather than the long term. Insecurity won’t help that.
Chief is in fact a proffessional NRL coach.
He is in fact Chief Des Hasler
Well you’re not a real estate agent Webby but I’m sure you’d have an opinion on what your house is worth . I’m not an plumber but I know if my shitter is broken .
Point is , many of us have been watching this game for decades and in some of the members here’s cases centuries, so in fact your pretty wide of the mark assuming that some aren’t very qualified to have an opinion . In saying that I’m still on the BA bandwagon and agree that the wrist slashing may be a bit premature . But if you watched a plumber do his job for 40 years would you think you knew enough to have an opinion on plumbing ? Cause I’d say you’d well earnt the respect of at least offering a valuable opinion on what another plumber was doing wrong .
