  • Unfortunately for Hoffman I think he has fallen victim to the fact that the eels have some very small fullbacks in their roster, especially in respect of French. I think it's meant that Arthur has been inclined to keep Auvau in the side to assist with the kick returns and early set hit ups which are a very important part of the game. Hoffman is the superior finisher and is better postionally. He got beaten a couple of times this year himself but that's unusual he's usually good defensively. It's a hard call but I'd go with Hoffman on Ado - Carr
  • Thats my concern, speed. Ado carr is very quick which will worry both auvaa and taka who will try and defend him.
    • Jennings is on the right. Has been for quite a while now.

  • Vai Toutai

  • Auvaa in great form. Keep him in

    • Great form in attack his defense and ability under the high ball will cost us
  • Hoffman is a left winger and Auva'a is a left centre. Neither is 'ideal' to play right wing, but Auva'a is part of a winning team and probably no point changing that this week.

If Auva'a has a shocker (I'm sure Melbourne will target him) I wouldn't be surprised if french takes that spot instead of Hoffman getting a go. This obviously would mean will smith would remain at fullback.
  • I would like to see Hoffman at fullback

"Thats a good side bem. Joash looked more confident and stronger in the trials, and his quick footwork really confused the opposition. If he's on the bench he needs to get onto the park"
