Who has turned out to be the most expensive dud buy in NRL history?

Parra has the misfortune of constantly buying "name" players who then proceed to fizzle in the Blue and Gold.For us the most expensive dud has to have been Foran (regardless of his problems and injuries,how much per minute has he earned?).Who's next?  Watmough? Floppa? Sandow? Hock? or is he still coming? Plus my two most hated wastes of skin and oxygen thieves at that,pRicky and Mossop.

I believe the only team to outlay more than us for a complete flop has to be Moanly,with their wonderful giraffe-necked wonder with the poofiest name in League history Daly Cherry-Ripe.

    As it stands Foran and then Justin Poore, Reni Maitua, and Choc, i knew reni and Poore were bad signings when we signed them but hoped for so much more with Foz and Choc.

      I know choc didn't live up to expectations but at least he hasn't hung around costing us for another 2 or 3 seasons. Imagine if he stuck around and played like he did last year until the end of his contract. I hate to think.

      Bit early in the deal to write off Foz but Choc with out a doubt has to have been the biggest dud of all time, especially considering he was busted before signing him!

      Mate Foran was a god until he pulled out with mental issues. We were premiership threats. Yeah he's done his shoulder now but everyone gets injured once in a while. If he gets done for cheating then it doesn't cost us anything.
      Foran is definitely not a dud buy. He was and still is great for this team.

    This is easy Karl Filiga signed with ricky stuart's cronulla in late 2007 for $600k for three seasons.

    Maybe not expensive....... but Jeff Fenech in '89 was a definite dud.
