  How depressing to be back here . Unfortunately a shitkent like Norman may get his 800K out of our desperation . I'd go after Keary , I reckon BA could do something positive with him . Isn't he off contract ? I remember him also asking stupid money however the fact he still may be off contract may have given him a reality check .

    Keary reminds me of mortimer. He generally needs a roll on and good players around him to take advantage of his strengths. Not gonna help our side imo.

  Gee I hope the Eels don't get near Norman's asking price. I think many of us were disappointed in his 1st year, surprised and hopeful after his second, but now worrying that he is unable to truly step up when it counts. Foran made Norman look good, but we should judge Norman on what he can produce in the adversity to come over the next few months.

  I know I will get absolutely hammered for this idea (and I know there was talk of him retiring) but just as a stop gap measure for 1 year what about Jamie Soward? I know I hate the prick too but I think he would be good for us on an interim basis until something better came along. So French (1), Hayne (6), Soward (7) and King(9). And he wouldn't be anywhere near the $800k Norman is seeking.
