After all this talk about keeping juniors, letting juniors go. being disappointed in see certain players leave, I have a question.
With all our expert knowledge on here, who was the last Player or Coach we let go that has come back to bite us?
I cant think of any recent ones, so does that show that the club knows more than we do?
Support the club and support their choices, we only seem to let them go if they are a problem.
I stand to be corrected. But you cant use Hayne as your answer.

Jason Smith. Let go 1 year too early IMO. If he plays in the 2001 GF makes a big difference, but Brian Smith thought he could do it with a bunch of school kids with the addition of Taylor and Buettner. We had no experienced hard heads in the team. "That came back to bite us"
I reckon Jim Dymock was the one they let go one year too early at the end of 2000. I think he could have made the difference in that great young side of 2001.
lets not discuss 2001, its heartbreaking.
Are these just current FG that were Eels juniors or were you upset when we let them go?
So how long did these guys take, after leaving Eels to actually come back to bite us?
ie Kelepi may be a great player in 5 years time, but does that mean we should look back and say that we should have kept him for 5yr?
you can keep going ;)
There was a reason behind that. Brian Smith knows what it was.
