Coming out of our red zone against Newcastle we had multiple hitups and zero gain. Kick return metres were also way down even though Sivo was our top meter eater. Fergo had a quiet game from his standards and it hurt us.When you consider he’s playing with a rib injury and a busted snoz he’s doing pretty good to be out there. The first time you break your nose the slightest little bumps hurt like hell. Add the two injuries together he’s one tough bastard to be out there putting in as much as he is. Alvaro isnt much, but he is a big bopper and good in the wrestle. I reckon the balance of the side just wasn’t right for a fired up Newcastle and Alvaro would help. Stone should drop out.
With the Saints this weekend, they’ve a strong forward pack with Vaughn and Tariq Sims and they’ll be looking to dominate us with defense just like the knights did first half.
