So obviously Sivo and Opacic are a lock together. Penesini is the future but not yet ready whilst Fergo wont be resigned and Blake needs a lot of work even if he wants to be a winger. So who are our options next year for wing/center?
- Manly have Harper and Parker right now who are defensive centers. That means Moses Suli and Dylan Walker are not playing. Either an option.
- Dragons and Broncos have a couple of outside backs to look at.

Waqa Blake should be on the wing. He simply can't defend as a Centre, on the wing he could have a Sivo type influence, as for replacing our other Centre. I think it's staring us right in the face.
Rather use Niukore in the middle or edge next year and we buy a center. However, for this year Niukore has to play centre.
Waqa was fine tonight . Opacic is extremely basic player with a low ceiling. His early tackle hit ups are terrible . If BA wants to play the style of game where we play a one out power game out of the back field he doesn't fit what we need. I feel he was bought as a utility/ NSW Cup centre and whilst he's played to his ability he's a depth piece .
I don't mind if Opacic doesn't spark our attack as long as he is defensively solid which he has been. Defence wins grand finals and Opacic is great value for money. Our one out attack doesn't suit any player in the modern game. So it's not that Opacic doesn't suit our game plan. It is the gameplan itself that is stupid.
I think its time to test Dunster in an extended run Fergo isn't part of the plans going forward
If fergo isn t part of the plans then how do we get out of our own end? Penisi, oldfield, and dunster
What would you rather? Person A: 200m run meters but horrible defnesive reads. Leaks a lot of points. Person B: runs 100 meters but is defensively astute. I already know my answer without thinking for a second. However, IDK who can provide that. W Blake, with Niukore and B Brown on his inside?
Good point but do we have such a player? Tonight highlighted we are struggling for a strong defensive middle. Seems stone and hipgrave have fallen out of favor. We are also lacking speed.
Stone obviosuly doesn't provide big meters, but his aggression in defence is something we could need. Or alternately, our middles can pull a finger out their ass and defend well which is what I rather have.
Stone runs good angle. Our forward pack is probably busted from the one out power game. It takes its toll. It can not be maintained for a whole season. That's the point I am making who is good enough to replace him?
