Which players did you place high expectations on that fizzled in the end

I'll start

Michael Witt (2003) - Predicted he would be a champion 7 and would replace Sterlo. LOL

Next crop of players after Sterlo and Kenny - Glen Liddiard, Scott Mahon, Brian Jackson, Danny Crnkovich etc I think all Parra fans in the late 80's expected that.

Foran - What a disappointment!!

Pretty much every halfback since 1993. Brian Jackson was talked up big time, but unfortunately never really made it.

  I'll agree with that one. I was about 15 or so when Tim Smith was marked as the next big thing, I remember playing footy on the school oval at lunch time and everyone was running around with there tounge out trying to replicate him.

  Agree.. Tim Smith. Had a cracking 1st year. Topped the try assist stats from memory. Then fizzled out like a sparkler on cracker night.
