Which back will miss out??

with the article about tahu training to strongly, was wondering if anyone has any inside information as to which back is most likely to be overlooked for the squad to take the field for round one?i would have to say grothe is the weakest but only just. hes been in great form and his ht ups out of our own twenty are so valuable, but surely the likes of burt, reddy and inu have to be there.or is a positionaly change seeming more likely? ie. grothe/reddy to the back row or burt to a utility position?soo many options :D

  • Good Question!!!!
Burt i feel might miss out .We'll just have to c on the night
  • Burt will be usd off the bench as utility.
  • how is this for an option. Burt drops to the bench to play a utility role, i.e hooker/half in case of emergancy. that frees up one wing spot, which Inu will take, and then Tahu to partner Inu. backline should be

    1. J.Hayne
    2. K.Inu
    3.T.Tahu
    4.J.Reddy
    5.E.Grothe
    • i think ur suggestion about playn kris is a vaild point. dont get me wrong, i dont mind robo, but i personally dont think his playing style suits how the boys play. his kicking game is appaling, and i for one dont want to rely on haynes to be kicking 24/7. Hayne should be used as a strick weapon with his kicking, such as his 40/20 kicks. Burt needs to be in the team because of his quickness and his supportiveness in play. i strongly believe starting burty on the bench will be effictive come second half or late in the first just like kingston's done this year. however, should burt remain in the starting lineup, id be leaning toward ecka being taken out of the backline. defensivley he is a bit dogey but to take him out is a stupid thing.
      • robsons style of play suited the team perfectly, he is a great link man getting it to mortimer and hayne as much as possible which created alot of trys, unlike keating that didnt get the ball out wide at all.
      • Danny I know its your own personal opinion but how can you say Robson's style of play does not fit in the last time i looked him and mortimer were the halves partners that took the club to the G/F
  • burt will stay for sure he was great last year and is very consistent, i think reddy will miss out even thou he is also very consistent and safe but he lacks that explosive mongrel that inu and tahu pocess
  • robson is useless of the bench put him at halfback or dont have him in the team at all
  • Haven't we done this topic to death??
    • haha yeh but nothing else to talk about right?
