Wheres the Brad Arthur haters now.

All the people who wanted Brad Arthur punted seem to have gone underground.

No more criticism of the "bush coach". Isnt it wonderful what winning can do.

    • That's sad in itself, can never enjoy a season because you hate the coaching staff. A lot of teams under Parra, a lot of coaches struggling, a few won comps because they had great players, others cheated the cap & got away with it. I enjoy every year and hope we do better than the last.

    • Go the mighty Roosters.

        • Nailed it on the head there Captain.

        • Go the mighty Roosters  .

        • Well said

      • Sorry no chance of Roosters this year playing GF . Apart from their miracle  win against Parra early in round  1 , I do not recall  once this season seeing Roosters look like potential grand final winners . Too lazy and too many mistakes . Over confidence / arrogance will bring them down.  When we meet next , the “ cooked chooks “ do not stand a chance against Parra Lol . I do understand your thoughts and emotions having myself gone through same dreams since Parra win last in 1986 . A few more years without a grand final win will sadly add the cost of Roosters fans mental health bill to our national medical costs Lol .

        • Driaz the chooks have not even come close to having their full side this year, once the finals come and they have their side they will give it a massive shake . Roosters fans know they have a side that can win comp fans every year , fans and.wont foe few years yet,  how can a team assemble  a premiership winning side when not one single player has a TPA to  take some pressure of Compete  with the top clubs for talent?

The club has had 1000% better and smarter people running the club , better coaches and better teams in the past and still failed to win a comp and that was when the club had every resource  at its neck and call and were the leaders when it came to TPAs .

          • Fong, Parramatta supporters don't give a rat's arse about how good East's coach, staff and administrators are. This a Parra supporter's site, if you prefer those arseholes fuck off to one of their sites. With the number of supporters they have they could welcome you with opens but they're more likely to tell you to fuck off, too.

      • With what the rorters pay off the books each year, they are a bigger failure than the Eels can ever be.
Anything less than a preimership is a complete fuck up, just like you thong.

        • MOFF, There's a truck load we could learn from the Roosters.

It's not just about smart money management with the Roosters, without the huge TPA's of clubs like the Storm have had.

They've been successful at development of players into NRL first grade level. One of the best in the comp without the huge nursery we have.

Politis, AM, has real passion and footy nous, that many Eels fans underestimate. He is a great clubman.

And he has had some real cluey people work with him, both with financial and footy nous.

Mark Bouris and Politis form a billionaire club together, and have a "business owner" mindset not that of highly skilled CA's/financial "employees" we have. They hire CA's not have CA's lead clubs. Big difference.

Then there's former football GM and CEO Brian Canavan who was with them for decades, from the 1990's when Politis first rose to power, as well as controversial Peter O'Sullivan who recruited the likes of Mitchell, Folau, RTS, Inglis, Slater, Tupuo. And the smarts of Cronk and the underated Robinson.

And because they've been successful the last 20 years (most grand finals along with the Storm) it's an easier sell for a player looking to make a name for himself, develop as a player  or want success.

And in terms of this year, they now have the 2nd best attack and 3rd best defence. That alone, looking at the last 30 years of grand finals and winners, tells you they are serious contenders to win.

I want us to be better than them, and a start is to learn something from them and how they have become successful.
