Well done to the Panthers, they managed to play well, they beat us over the advantage line time and again, they made meters at will. They were also able to build sustained pressure and their game plan worked a treat. As those who read my blogs know, the forwards is where I lay all my expectations. Whilst we were beating on the advantage line time and again and we were not able to get over that same line when we had the ball. There were times there on our own line where the back were taking the ball up for the first 3 tackles, not good enough.Tonight however, I lay the blame on the team not being able to create or sustain any pressure, not once did it swing around and have it go our way for any period of time. The refs are not to blame, it was just our fifth tackle option. It went no where and not once did we have a back to back repeat. I am loath to say it, but Sandow and Norman have to improve if were are going to go places. The forwards can do only so much, but this game is so mental we need to build pressure. The forwards were sapped of energy. Special mention must to go M&M and Peri, they were brilliant. Our young player Hunt was shown up tonight and he is not ready for first grade. He should not worry cause many a great player has come back after a poor debut. This has highlighted the lack of depth we have in the backline. I am happy he and Morgan got some time as they will be better for the run and BA will help them with what they need to work on.Do not despair fellow supporters, the future is still bright. But like all good teams, we need to build depth to ensure when key players are out the impact is minimal. We can only do that by giving players experience and a chance.I am still proud of the boys.

  • I think we missed Hayne's leadership, and Tonga's experience as well. Downhill from here if Allgood and Sef get weeks, and Peats and Tonga still injured as well.
  • Hunt is turning 26 ,, when will he be ready when his 30?? ,, he's fault for 3 tries tonight,, and will never be a first grader
  • We have to ask whether BA is going to be thinking that if he wants a backup fullback he can't rely on Hunt. So would it be sensible to get another person into the Wenty backup fullback role? Hence I would not be surprised if Hunt is done
