  The nrl are slowly but surely killing the game in sydney and this is testament to that. To make things worse the one Sydney team that could pack out a stadium in Sydney, the Parramatta eels, are on the nose with the nrl. All good though, carry on.

    Agree FME. GWS didn't get that many supporters yesterday but the will start pulling crowds if the get to the gf. The NRL should be very worried and should leverage the western suburbs teams to defeat AFL in western sydney. But we are not Qld so we don't matter. Congratulation AFL. Looks like NRL has thrown in the towel.

  Penrith barely get 12k at their own stadium on an average. Why would their fans travel all the way to Allianz when they can't even get to centerlink stadium?

  Its a shit stadium for RL and the games lost much of its charm i recon Ken, the things that people used to turn up for like big shoulders, fisty cuffs, raw rl, etc, they've gone from the game, the old school footy watches are all disillusioned with the product, not to mention the referees and rules

    Exactly my point. The NRL is destroying the game and the AFL is going gang busters as a result of this sabotage of the game in Sydney.

  Great point Brett. So now the Nrl need to find out why a sudden death semi isn't important to the competing teams fans.

  I saw the VFL semi final between Essendon and Footscray at a Melbourne suburban ground and it is packed unbelievable the support AFL has at grass roots level

  I think they are playing at Moore Park. If that is where you mean I agree but if Parra were playing today i would be there.
