Those Eels followers on this great site that have had experience living and working overseas where would be a great affordable, safe, economical nation to live for middle aged, retired folks? Are there actually any such places overseas? Don't get me wrong Australia is still the greatest nation on earth yet in all honesty times and situations have definitely changed here in Australia and not necessarily for the better. So what places would those people on here that have extensive experience with living and travelling abroad recommend if anything at all? I think Poppa loves Bali but that's not my cup of tea ☕

  • For you, i would suggest Greenland or the wilds of canada - out there with your own kind and away from technology🤣🤣

    • Would you have any contacts in Greenland you could refer me too? Or in the Wilds of Canada? Please don't say Brissyfin as we know your one and the same 🤣 I would have a satellite phone so I could still keep an eye 👀 on you at 1eyed

      • NZ or just relocate to Tassie

  • ParraTrooper can I ask how old are you? You said middle aged but you are retired? What did you do for a crust?

      • IQ of 185, and 11 inches🤣😂

        • More like an IQ of 11 and a 185 bumps on the head........

    • Basically retired in mid 60's

  • My partner loves Costa Rica. Says it's a very nice difference to America where she lives. But wants to move to Australia because it's a little more modern.

    • Actually thought about Costa Rica. Is it safe? What about housing, visa and wanting to actually live there long term?

      • Safe enough. Pretty chill honestly. I think basic rules apply, avoid the guys with machetes.

As for living long term, I'm not sure honestly. I know a lot of people retire there. It's pretty cheap.
