Where do our boys finish on the Ladder

I was having coffee today with a mate who is an absolute Eels nut and of course the conversation of our beloved Eels came up and Trei asked the question : ) -

Where do you think the boys will land in the 8?

It's not an easy question to answer, we have been inconsistent all year, team selection and bench / rotation has been somewhat predictable bordering on unspectacular.

So I went with boring ... we will struggle to win our last games and might and I say a big MIGHT beat the dogs. I personally believe the boys have internal turmoil which definitely goes along way in explaining some of the rubbish performances and then again maybe listening to the same old voice, same old messages with little to no improvement could in fact bring the team to a grinding halt.

I think the Bunnies will not beat the Roosters or the Storm hence stay on 28 points, secondly Broncos will win 2 of 3 and finish on 32 points, Roosters will win 2 of 3 and finish on 30 points and Storm will win 2 of 3 and finish on 36 points with Raiders finishing on 28 points.

Our boys say 30 points I have us either 6th or missing the 8 based of points differential.

We really have screwed our year this year, our window was well and truly opened and with disharmony amongst the ranks, selfish coaching decisions and players leaving next year - what a missed opportunity.

Thoughts on our final points landing ?

  • First thing i'd be doing, is introduce recreational drug testing, EVERY Sunday or monday for every player.

Theres plenty of mail around that theres a few partiers in our team, and that would explain a lot of these bipolar performances.

Mate i havnt really thought about where we will finish now, because i dont think it will make much difference, im resigned to more of the same.

    • Snakey your'e a gem however what works for home doesn't necessarily transfer to work lol

      • Just imagine the built up residue on the cisterns in the portable sheds at eels training Eel4ever, it would be an inch thick of the devils dandruff.

        • Imagining that ... ihave to bleach my brain !!!

    • I bloody agree

at least back in the day they would total themselves at the bourbon AFTER the game ready for next week - these days they have the money to be on the pingas whenever

      • What do you think of an old fashion closed doors piss up for the players Carlo, somewhere to iron out the differences, an honesty session, maybe a bit of the ol' biff to show some tough love.

        • Mb BA ain't speaking their language . I know from working with younger people they are a diff beast to gen x or early milenials as well . They just don't have the investment in things like we did . Jobs come and go , everything is fluid

so to get this gen to " buy in" I think they need to really believe they will " win" or be " winnerS" this gen ain't willing to do the Hard toil

if you don't have a coach which instills that or keeps failing how do you KEEP THE FAITH ?

No investment means they will move on , like the other ppl of their gen do

clubs need to work even harder against the gen mindset  imo

    • They don't call him dylbags for nothing!

  • Parra v Penrith grand final. So I am guessing 6-7th.

    • Now that TA would have supporters hanging off the rafters, reminiscent of the SG Days
