When will rebuild turn into results??

regardless of the coach (BA one of many over the last few years) the players continue not to deliver. The fans hang tough but the players need to be tougher. Same old same old disappointing results. Ironically they were the ones who picked BA? So there has to be some internal issues in the club. I hope the players pull on the pride jumper between now and the end of the season.

  • when you are rebuilding a new city that's what we are doing I think because we been rebuilding for the last five years that's when we start to get results when it all done so how big is this city I don't know and where I don't know

    • mammojo just out of curiosity how long did clearly have before he started to turn penrith around??

I'm with you mate. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting things to change (or along those lines haha) This is relevant to sacking coaches and persisting with certain players.
  • Ive said for a long time now that something is a miss at Parramatta. We have had a lot of coaches,  some mini buses( half coaches), good players, good support staff. Not really sure what the problem is, maybe the culture, maybe too many talented non-diciplined players maybe an outside influence. The certainty is until we rid our selves of this ailment it wont matter who we buy ,or who coaches us, it just isnt going to gel.

    • The balance of players is wrong in our side. And too many churchies.

    • The whole club is unprofessional in a very ( at the top at least ) professional world. Until administration is dragged kicking and screaming to the proverbial "Management for Professionals" school we'll be lucky to make the top 8. Dont make the mistake of thinking this talent in management will appear from the flawed elected committee process . A quick glance at the bare cupboard that was the recent election will indicate that! Incentives need to be offered to the people with the experience and acumen to pinpoint shortcomings and initiate change in a WINNING direction.

  • Cleary started at a different club though. Nobody starts from scratch and every club and every situation is different. Penrith had some expensive stars on the books and Penrith were smart enough to get rid of them straight away instead of trying to rebuild around them. Plus their players in the 18-22 age group were high quality. Ours are now but they weren't a few years ago.

    • Is the difference between them and us being we paid over for rubbish players whilst there's was for players like Lewis, Gordon and Graham. We are trying to move these rubbish players on now?

I now we have had a clean out already of players but the clean out was done by a coach who has now left us in this mess. Are we paying now for the bad choices made one,two or three coaches ago??
      • When you overpay for stars you overpay by a lot more than when you overpay for plodders. The season they let go of Jennings, Lewis and co they ran tenth. The next year they were top four. They didn't benefit straight away from cleaning out the salary cap sponges. It took a year.

Hayne's only been gone for six months.

  • If this is a rebuild it was built on shifting sands.

  • He worked on their fitness and defence, Wayne Bennett has done the same thing at the Bronco's.  We look unfit and our defence is worse than last year.  Getting rid off the rocks and diamonds midget will help our defence.
