Excuse me if i am wrong, but was the last time we faced Newcastle in the semi's was the 2001 GF? With that win tonight v Gold Coast, Newcastle have secured 7th and will more likely face Parramatta in week 1. But since 01' we have only appeared in the semis in 02', 05', 06', 07', 09', 17', 19', 20'.
2002 we played Brisbane and got knocked out
2005 played Manly week 1 and North Queensland in prelim
2006 played Melbourne week 1
2007 played Warriors week 1, Canterbury week 2 and Melbourne week 3
2009 played St. George Illawarra week 1, Gold Coast week 2, Canterbuy week 3 and Melbourne in GF (seeing a theme here with Melbourne)
2017 played Melbourne week 1 and North Queensland week 2
2019 played Brisbane week 1 and Melbourne week 2
2020 played Melbourne week 1 and South Sydney week 2.
So yeah first time facing Newcastle in the semis since the GF in 01', could we get some redemption? wouldn't mean anything but still fascinating

God we suck so much pain and faluire in that list
Better list than Wests of late, then again they do have a title
Didn't say does it mean something I'm just saying it weird to think we haven't played them since 2001
We're very well on the way to having 15 Bogey teams
Why would anyone be worried about playing the knights, have you watched them?, they have nothing, eels by plenty.
I would be more worried if I was Newcastle. We have been in plenty of finals and not met them . Where have they been then ? LOL
Also I will bet a twopence that Eels have not regularly played Knights twice during the season over recent years either .
By the way history means SFA on the day... experience counts though and in terms of recent finals experience we have the knights well and truly covered
The Knights are a bog average team coached by a worse coach than BA
Eels by 13+
Gamble responsibly
The Knights are a poo, but so are we it should be an epic cripple fight.
It will open up old wounds when they knock us off
