I have never seen such panic, hysteria, and anguish from Eels fans in all my time on this website compared to what I witnessed this week. I don't know how the Foran saga will be resolved, but I think it's time to remember that we actually have a game on in two days' time. I don't know how difficult it has been for the players to remain focused due the media circus that has set up camp around our club, and I feel really sorry for BA as he tries to sort out the Foran mess while also preparing the boys for the game. It can't be easy.
Saturday's game is pretty big for us, mainly because a win here would relieve a tonne of pressure that's been heaped on the club. If we do lose, it will provide even more cause for the media to thrust their knives in and take sheer delight in our predicament.
Before the whole Foran story broke, my concern was that we're facing the prospect of losing five straight games at home. Seriously, when was the last time this happened? After this weekend, it won't be until round 25 when we return home. A win here is essential. A big crowd would go a long way to helping the team win, and given the events of this week it would send a loud message to everyone that the fans aren't prepared to give up or walk away. I live far from Sydney and I haven't been to a home game in four years, but I will be making the trek this week because I can see how important it is to show support to the players in this turbulent time. Who else is going?

Holy shit, that is so long. fucking joke if you ask me.
If I am correct, the last time that happened was Round 11-Round 22 of the 2002 season. That's 13 years!
