When does Hayne hit the training paddock?

I note Nathan Brown and the likes of James Tedesco have voluntarily returned to pre-season training 3 weeks ahead of their scheduled returns after featuring in the facical that is the “Rugby League World Cup”

After the holiday Jarryd just had on the Gold Coast for the past 18 months, the amount of games he missed with the Titans through injury and his current below par physical condition, I would have expected him to be the first player putting kilometres into his legs & losing the man handles.

Just my opinion, but he is hardly a player who has earnt the right and in peak physical condition to warrant an extended Christmas break. He virtually played touch football in his role with Fiji and has a lot of catching up to do, including gaining the respect of the playing group to prove he has changed his lazy habits and willing to put in on the training paddock.... I guess he is waiting till January when the rest of the elite representative  players <insert sarcasm> return after their gruelling seasons.

If its good enough for Mitchell Peace to front up for training two days after signing with the Knights, I see no reason why Jarryd shouldn’t be front and centre after his $1.2m extended holiday on the Glitter Strip.

  • No doubt, when Princess feels like it.

    • I can tell you as a fact, that I messaged Snake to tell him, that his house on the GC was packed and gone weeks ago. So his move was already well under way.

  • After NT is my guess
  • After xmas i heard mate.

  • Good example, as Mitch Pearce was a feature of the the World Cup.

    • How many games did Pearce play in 2017 compared to Hayne? For all the criticism and perceived flaws Mitchell cops,he does give his all every game. Hayne didn’t get dirt on his knees all season with the Titans. Pearce not playing in the joke that is the “World Cup” is irreverent. Is Hayne exhausted from the 12 games give or take he played in 2017... oh that’s right, I forgot his gruelling schedule with Fiji.

  • Fiji made the semi finals... players are allowed annual leave like any other industry. Hayne only had 2 weeks off so far.
Mitchell Pearce wasn’t in the World Cup... he’s had 9 weeks off already before showing up for the Knights.
Players only have 1 more week of training before Xmas break, which is when Hayne, Ma’u, Taka, Jennings, Moses etc will rejoin the team. Timmy and Brown chose to go in and do a few fitness runs, but they are not back at training full time
    • Hayne’s whole season at the Titans was a holiday.

Best to compare apples with apples when judging players work loads.

    • Whether you work your ass off or do very little at work, you still get the same annual leave entitlement in any industry.
      That’s comparing apples and apples.
  • Most jobs don’t require you to be in the elite physical condition category or earn $50-$100k for 80 minutes work.

Apples V Apples. Jarryd is not a refrigeration mechanic on annual leave.
