when are Junior and RCG getting a rest

Both have been playing big minutes and are looking tired. They need a rest before they get injured and we need them fresh for the finals. Maybe BA plans to rest in final game but they probably need a rest before then

  • They probably wont until a top 4 spot is secured. Then who replaces them?

    • I would rest one of them at a time because except for Marata on the bench, no other foward has a motor to play the big minutes RCG and Paulo play.

When one of them is rested, Evans goes into the starting line up and Davey joins the bench. Lane can move into the fowards when Davey comes into the fied. Stone and Kafusi will have the opportunity to play more mintues and Marata can play the role he normally does.

      • It would depend who is the opposing team and where the Eels are on the ladder. The next few games are against quality sides. In saying that however, the Eels havent performed that well against teams outside the 8, especially Bulldogs and Dragons.

  • Who says they are ?

      • I thought the dragons game was the best time to rest them considering it was a 5 day turn around from sharks to dragons game.

      • Bring Back Alvaro from Warriors

  • Short season, why do they need a rest?

    • Because there are no bye rounds or rep weekends. The longest a team normally goes without a break in a regular season is 10 rounds. This season they're playing 18 straight and then into finals.

      • Since when have Clubs started being so priviledged that think they can rest players?  Really?

        • Teams haven't generally had to rest players because there have been natural breaks in the season allowing for rest. In some cases if a team has a bye they can be off for 18 days. At the moment, the largest break available is 10 days. Accumulated fatigue in such an intense season could become a deciding factor in the finals.
