Looks like we have 4 players who can fit into 2 spots. Mortimer, Robson, K.Keating and Mateo. Who is your personal pick for 6 and 7?
1. Mortimer, Robson combo
2. Keating, Mortimer combo
3. Mateo, Mortimer combo
4. Mateo, Keating combo
5. Mateo, Robson combo
6. Keating, Robson combo
I'm happy to give combo 1. Mortimer, Robson as my pick. They led us to a GF in 09. I think they can get us there again in 2010. who do you like?
ps. Feel free to state your arguement for the combo you like but show respect to your fellow Eels supporters if they have a different opinion to your own. No personal attacks!

Reasons:
Mateo
Mateo has been around for a little while now and can add a little experince to the halves.
I don't think Mateo is a back rower. He has size but he is not a physical player really, especially in defence.
Mateo can take a lot of pressure of Hayne in terms of putting on plays similar to the one that Hayne produced for Burt on the weekend.
Mateo's game probably wouldn't change all that much from what he does currently but his playmaking role would be a little more defined and we could fit in another tough nut in the 13 jersey for the opening exchanges.
Mortimer
The only other genuine optino for mine is Keating - I don't consider Robson a genuine NRL halfback.
I would give Mortimer a crack but if that fails give Keating a go.
Mortimer need to show he can organise a footy team though - I couldn't give a crap if he never grubber and regathers again for the duration of his footy career - that's not what an NRL half is paid to do.
For now, go with Mortimer 6 and Robson 7. Talk going around is that Mortimer will eventually become a halfback. I don't want Mateo anywhere near the 5/8 role, his offloading ball skills against tired forwards creates havoc for the opposition.
