WHATS DONE IS DONE!!

We have a new coach coming, a few new players coming and we still have a great roster of players in our team.... its time for ALL fair dinkum parra fans to put their feelings aside and back the team 100%!!

As a fan my loyalty lies with the eels jersey first and foremost and all that other crap with the board/ coach will work its self out, whats done is done, now its time to concerate on the team and the what the eels have stood for since '47.

As fans I dont think any team has to put up with the garbage that we lay at the feet of our team, I mean if we lose our first 2 games next year all you will read and hear about will be the so called eels supporters telling whoever will listen that "the eels are gone", "this player is #*&%" "sack this guy and get rid of that guy" blah blah blah.

We have a strong club in nearly every facet of the game and at the moment things arent going right but all that will change, the so called fans just have to be patient, I know the real fans will support the mighty blue and gold NO MATTER WHAT!!!

We are the envy of most clubs in our facilities, money, juniors, home ground and yet this still isnt good enough for some of you guys...... if you want to be one of those supporters who supprt us only when everything is rosy then go barrick for the roosters because they only stick the head out of their arses and follow their team when the team is in the GF and even then they cant fill their ground 1 game off the GF!!!

MAKE A PACT TO FOLLOW THE TEAM.....NO MATTER WHAT

  • I'm sure most of us have already made a pact like that, and that most of us will continue to support the Eels club regardless of who the coach may be.
  • what about the garbage that the players have served up us fans ?
    should we just accept that?
    arent the players/management accountable??

again i admire your optimism and positiveness, but we shouldnt be blind!
i for one wont accept mediocrity
  • Jacko like I said at the moment things arent right but it will change.... dont spit the dummy at just the one season, the last thing this team needs now is fans giving it to them and giving it to each other. And above all support the jersey and the history of the club.... You sound like those idiots who threw their jerseys on the field 4 or 5 years ago because we werent travelling so hot, then look what we did last year, and that will happen again, its just a matter of time but carving the players/management/club a new arse every time we have a bad season wont get you or the team anywhere!!!!

Like I also said if you dont like the club then go support the roosters....god knows they need it!
    • you are an absolute idiot eels5572!!!!!!!

'if i dont like the club' - and 'one bad season'
i have supported them my whole life and would give my right arm for a premiership so comments like that you can shove it so far up ur own you know what - they havent won a comp in a quarter of a century!!!

you are a blind fool that accepts mediocrity ( 12th place from premiership favourites at the start of the year )
we dont need supporters like you with low expectations - people like you should go and support someone else!!!
  • Of course the true supporters will stand up for our team we always have and will continue to do so. Most of the points you have made reference to about the supporters heaping shit on the team is a response rendered from our complete exhaustion of patience. We want the team to support us, stop dishing out performances that lack committment, pride and effort and if you were in attendance to any of our home games this year with the exception of the melbourne game you will engage with my point.
We arent the roosters, in that I will completely agree are a disgrace, if the temperature drops below 20 degrees and the local cafes are still open dishing out latte and bruschetta will never be seen at a low class NRL Game.

Bring us some respect for our passion, I dont care so much if we arent good enough but when we dish out crap like this year then the fans are right to expect more. that's why we are on this site whinging all the time, just so we can get on with life.
    • well said pride
  • loyalty is a dirty word with danial anderson , ask the players he sold out, the local jnrs too, hes not alone, the sharks and dogs show no loyalty ,when coaches and boards and ceo's act like this how do you you get a team that back each other ,and shows pride in our club colours, let alone bleed for the eels.
also if you act like andersons vision for a super team, we will be a nursery with our jnrs ,so manly /the dogs/sharks can use them in 1st grade,we train them up for manly, thats the wrong vision guys.
mateo/ inu/kk/ tony williams are local jnrs to get knifed by anderson. just 4 but theres more.
jack gibson turned local jnrs at the eels into super stars, kenny, ella, grother snr, to name just 3.
if anderson wants to blame players for the eels poor results , then cut them, or a better word sack them, he has to come up with game plans that work, not have no game plan.
anderson lived by the sword , and died by the sword as eels coach.
this is a new start at the eels under a new coach, in 2011 , the eels in my view need to bond together, as one,the coach/ceo/and board need to get on the same page guys, for to long at the eels its been a one man band, we need to rid this way in running the eels, for to long fitzy run the eels with hes numbers on the board as a one man band.
its time, even the supporters club member had a say in some way, anderson tried to run the show as the king pin man, he did think hes game plan was one man the hayne plane would win a granfinal for the eels, little did he know, rugby league is a team sport, not even the hayne train can win him self.
well shit has hit the fan at the eels, we supporters look for a better run club in 2011.

to end my blog, i hope the new coach looks deep, i can say with two teen sons who play 1st div, and have played in parra jnrs and now penrith with st marys, we must look at who runs the local jnrs, the selectors are hopeless guys, not all good players
play sg ball, matthews, toyota cup ect, its who you know sometimes, we should pick sides in the jnrs on talent, not size, there seems fades that if your a big islander your the guy who will win us comps, in my view we need a new jnr league up and running, better run and fairer to all, then we will go ahead better.. thanks guys, lets hope for peace in the eels and a better run eels in2011 and beyond, maybe even a grandfinal.
  • Point taken, I am a season ticket holder and this years home games were shit but I will be renewing this week and nothing will stop me from supporting the jersey.
  • Yeah, you're right..the Sharks are so disloyal they kept Johnny Mannah on their payroll when he was going through his illness, with him taking up salary cap space, even though they were advised by the NRL to let him go.They did this because it is the right thing to do and allowed johnny and his family to have one less thing to worry about during this challenging time.

And, for the record, our area has the third largest number of junior rugby league registrations, so please, can we all stop making out the Sharks have no juniors of our own.
  • Born and Eel - Die an Eel - but if im not happy with something from the board to the team performance then i will say something - I cant wait for next season but there is nothing wrong with everyone getting on here and giving their views and opinions on issues relating to our club and team...

"Randy,  An interesting one.
I suppose coaches trust certain players or believe they're the best fit for the team, even if club form or a high minute count aren't there.
I'd choose you for x-factor even if you only had 5 minutes of form."
