What would you do differently?

Yeah, we played like shit. Actually, I think shit may even play better than we did. BUT, enough of the negativity. What would you differently? Constructive stuff only please. No predictable bush coach boring  comments.

  • Start by dropping Waqa Blake put Taka out there at least he will tackle

    • Taka defends better. Not sure he'll solve our attacking problems.

    • Has to happen this week

      • Taka will be beneficiary to our attacking problems. Semi radradra was the leading try scorer when Taka was his centre. Taka has good footward, can actually tackle and also guess what ... pass the ball to Fergo. I was listening to Fox sports and they were saying Blake was changing his mind so much in defence that Fergo was getting confused in defence. Cuz winger follows ur centre. So whatever Blake does first, Fergo follows. But if Blake changes his mind, Fergo cant mind read him so now they are doing two different things. So they both need to clear their communcation and Blake needs to learn how to tackle

  • We need to be able to adapt within games. That comes from smart halves. There were periods in the first half where we were struggling to come out of our own end. We NEVER kick early with a big chase and try and turn teams around. Last year against Melbourne in the finals in a wet rainy Melbourne I suspect we anticipated Melbourne would try and take us up the middle so we condensed our defence and the went around us. We don't change things we seem to be a one trick pony. Beat teams up into submission and if the passes stick we play well.

    • Well said Angry, totally agree.

    • Nice comment mate.

    • I see some fundamental, structural problems with our attack that are definitely a coaching issue. Whether it's BA, Johns or whoever. Our halves run sideways, we have lots of lateral ball movement with zero decoys, we're predictable and far too easy to defend against. This has been the case for about 6 weeks now.
I don't believe it's as simple as just regrouping and trying again. I think tonight showed we're well off the pace and absolutely no threat to the Premiership this year. I'm gutted but also a realist.

        • Dylan Brown is the only pay who squares up the defence. Moses runs so side ways. And I agree with Muttman. We have zero decoys meaning their defence can just slide with ease cause the attack is predictable. Their is no decoy holding a defender, meaning the defender can slide rather than hold because they have to be careful if the half passes to the decoy. This is how overlapps are created, but we don't do this. Hence, why teams slide so well against parra.
