What was Semi doing when Soward made that kick

I love the big fella but he needed to contest that cross kick from Soward he was in no man's land. I'm not saying he lost the game but needed to be desperate in those dying stages

  • Could have added this to one of the numerous blogs already on the subject.
  • Semi was in two minds i recon, coaches often tell the players to not contest but focus on wrapping up the player ball and all as his feet hit the ground if you are in a situation to do so, he was in a tough situation, i recon getting a good fist to the ball might have been the go in that situation but its easy in hindsight to look back and think what could have been done, plenty of what ifs in that game.

    • Semi looked like it surprised the crap out of him. I just watched it over and over again and no matter which way you look at it he didnt attack the ball like he normally would

    • I also think he was unsure if Jennings was going to contest the kick, as I think looking at the replay it should have been Jennings contesting the catch or smashing it over the side line. Anyway the game is done and dusted we need to move on and focus on the next game, gives us things to work on, might be a kick in the butt that we needed as our form has not been great.

    • Both of them should have contested the ball as it would have given us more chance of taking the ball out play I reckon
  • Semi had just gotten Ito a fight before that kick and he was in two minds
    • Just noticed that on replay, very unusual to see something like that with semi.
Seemed to be going on in background when he put the kick up.
The Stars really did align for them
  • Yes - I was at the game watching that live.

Semi was REAL annoyed and did not want to let him go. He was very willing to go on with it, which I thought was unlike him.

Then the kick, and he seemed rattled a bit to me.

    • Yes completely missed it yesterday, semi would have been rattled for sure.
Did the winger hit semi that you could tell?
      • Looked to me like the winger got up and as he played the ball he lurched forward into Semi with his head. I wanted to watch a replay then I got a bit distracted.

"If it was war brick or blore I don't think Parra would have made a change. We need a quality player, and if we roll over for lower less I'd be disappointed. We rather take them to court."

"I'm going on limb, I reckon they'll trade in coates. He isn't expected to be back for 8 weeks. And it'd be huge for storms to have Warbrick, Lomax, Ramien and Howarth all lined up. I also don't think r360 will go head due to Iran. That's my thought."
