WHAT WAS PARRA'S BEST FIELDED TEAM AND WHAT YEAR?

During the rich history of the parramatta eels we have fielded many great side, to lighten the mood for the holidays i would like to know what was in ur opinion the best fielded team parra has ever had, i generally think the 2001 team they scored the most points in a season and were a solid bunch but unfortunately they lost to the knights. Suggestions and thoughts??

Yeah 201 was a great side, smashing all comers all year was very enjoyable to watch i must admit. Pity about the end result though!

i would say the 2001 team, yeh we had some great players in the 80's but the 2001 team did it all that year.

the main differrence to me was that the teams from the 80s did not crumble in the game that mattered the most

how can anyone rate the 2001 team over the 4 premiership winning sides of the 80's? I'd also say 1986 with that great 6-4 grand finak score line and kenny at the peak of his powers.

For statistical domination none beat 2001, but 81 to 83 because they went all the way

Thje 2001 team scored more points than any other side in history, conceeded the 2nd or 3rd least points, they were also in the top 5 of many other stats, they were young and choked in the game that counted

any one who is nominating the 2001 side that dudded in the grandfinal obviously never saw the side of the eighties play. The 82 and 83 sides in particular would have carved up the 2001 side which lacked the mental toughness to win.
