I was unfortunately not able witness today's game between Eels and Manly due to prior committments but I would like to hear from others what they thought of the game and what positives and negatives can be gained from it. Would the result have been different IF Michael Jennings, Ferguson and Blake would have played? Another question is will the Eels make a dent in the finals series IF they make it OR will they just make up the numbers?

If you want to beat Parramatta, play fast through the ruck. Manlys game plan was go wide early to stretch the defense, then the hooker, DCE and Turbo pumped parra through the ruck. Manly ran hard, We lost the ruck almost every tackle. We hold them down. Penalty. Release quick, dummy half sprint. Carbon copy of early season raiders loss. Great coaching by Des.
Gees the score flattered us. In the 15 mins prior to half time it looked like manly would score with every carry.
That said Manly were very good today. They have big powerful running forwards and very strong off the bench. The Trbojevic/DCE combo is bloody impressive if their forwards get on top.
We definitely missed Fergo today. Might be a different story rd 26 with Fergo, mennings and Blake on deck in front of our home crowd
Can we stop saying "IF" Blake was in the side ... this might have happened or our defence could have or this, ha has never played for the Eels so we can compare yet.
I think S.Lane is to soft and is only a line runner, the guy needs to toughen up.
KANE is getting better, but he should be told he has 1 job. RUN.
Our centres are B grade.
Upsides: D.Brown showed some nice touches.
We didn't totally capitulate.
We have 2 good centres to return shortly.
Downside: We got smashed thru the ruck.
I was on a flight during the first half. Landed, checked the score and never looked again. Even now I still don't know the full time result. I've learnt the Eels either win or get completely and utterly demolished. Am I right?
First 20 and last 20 minutes of the game I thought we were good.
The 40 minute period in the middle is where we looked off the pace, Manly starved us of possesion and our ruck defence was poor. Both needs to be fixed if this team wants to taken more seriously.
We're all the bench players used during the game? Did Salmon (If he was a bench player) was he used at all during the game?
The top echelons in the nrl - storm - roosters - Souths and manly are lengths ahead of the rest . When they are on song the 5-14 teams don’t have a answer . Key players in key positions with well coached tactical options ....
bellamy - Bennett - Hasler and Robinson are light years ahead of our fella in terms of tactics , execution , player management and getting teams to up every week or if not close to it . We are bankwest premiers
