I thought the purpose of riding pushbikes, scooters and skateboards was to get healthy, fit and lose some weight. Now almost everyone is using Motorised ones. I honestly don't see the benefits other than getting somewhere a bit quicker. Saw one bloke yesterday riding a Motorised skateboard wearing t-shirt , shorts no helmet or padding and I reckon he was do at least 40km maybe more. Absolutely crazy as if he came off he'd be lying in a hospital bed or the morgue.

  • Good blog pt 100%. Can't see the point unleas your a hundred and five like pops, he enjoys burning up the pathways with his e scooter, doesn't need a helmet actually because there's nothing upstairs to injure

    • Go Pops you old fart 😂 Lol

  • G'day Boyz n Girlz

A E-scooters are not legally allowed on NSW public roads or paths and thus no rules apply to age and or PPE or speed or where you can ride etc

B E-bikes (with peddles) can be ridden without a license - but must have helmet - there are speed limits (not sure what they are) unsure of age limits would think sanity would say yes But!

C - All bikes are not allowed on pedestrian pathways unless designated shared pathway or the rider is under 16 or inthe company of U/16 All bikes are not allowed to ride accross pedestian crossings (this shoudl apply to scooters and skateboards)

D I am unaware of any State based legistalion on the riding of manually powered scooters and skate boards ( some local government restricted areas only) thus no PPE re etc

E Battery charging has been a source of fire - with no legislation on fire performance warrenty - or charging within a strata environments etc

F for effing expensive toys - what do think the working life span is - $3k for an e-bike in the dumpster by next christmas is my guess with e scooters may be making it to Easter

G none of the laws are policed/enforced or widely communicated allowing the 'i did not know' excuse if they were enforced

H this is kids being overly endulged and and adults entitled to break the law to endulge them selves or they are not competant enough to ride on roads and get a license

    Nothing like new years rant!

    • good rant angel! burn the ebikers!!!!

      • Yes I agree

    • Well said and I agree 100% Some adults on these machines are just outright stupid. It's a serious nobody has been killed or seriously injured including innocent pedestrians. Some teenagers / adults rides these things at full speed on walkways, crazy stuff.

  • Yep, people like poppa zooming aroun\d in motorised wheelchair gangs, shitting up the suburbs, thinking they own the place, check this out.

"Is it though? Conferences to me are too complicated. NFL do it but they have to with 32 teams. Why can it not be the normal ladder we have now?
I think there are some good things in there though."
