We're abt 2 kms away from this one; have heard sirens for abt 2 hours now. We knew it was a police operation and tbh I hope the guilty person gets what they deserve- but the mob around are not making it better and I get their anger. But some of these cultures / backgrounds bring this to our country...
It won't be confirmed because it's not true. The priest was live streaming (as he does all his services). The guy walks up to him, doesn't utter a single word, then stabs him repeatedly.
Was this religiously/politically motivated? Almost certainly yes. Did he scream some cartoonish chant? No. He just walked up and went to town on the poor priest.
I don't suggest anyone do this but for those who are curious the video is all over Twitter/X - not graphic, just disturbing.
I mean the attacker could very much be an Arab or Muslim, but until the confirmation comes out we are very much making arses of ourselves assuming thongs.
There is video where the attacker is contained on the ground and speaking in Arabic essentially saying you the priests insulting his religon and prophet I can send you the video but unless you understand Arabic you won't know what he is saying.
"Same goes for Hopgood, he punches through the line and is ready to offload looking for support and there is no one. So frustrating. This is where we are missing a zippy fullback who is on the ball at all times."
"X2, but a lot of this is basic stuff BA just doesn't get, his gameplan is effort on effort, and if we don't hold possession we lose, without Moses' kicking it's exposed this badly. "
"Parra's weakness is there back 5 that's where they are the slowest least athletic team in the league.
The fact they haven't invested or have development that is key to them winning the battle in the middle of the field is the Achilles heal of this…"
" Great Article exposing something where you can learn from disappointments in being at the bottom of the ladder in what you do. Sometimes being in that place can be a good place to be to have a clearer view on how to progress. If you are midfield…"

We live in very fucked up times , I note how people didn't mess around and all jumped the guy before he could do more damage , well done to them all .
Mate thses people are Assyrians, like Lebanese attack to religious figure is one of most evil acts possible. Hope this won't start a religious war.

Mitchy stay safe mate I know the area pretty well usually a very quiet peaceful area. Seemed like it was targeted
How about you wait until it is confirmed before spreading BS.
All Saturday people were talking BS until it was confirmed the attacker wasn't Aran nor Muslim. Once the police confirm it then blast away.

Had some of the people in that church been at Bondi on Saturday things may have turned out a little different.
