What Luai brings?

Personality. That’s what we’ve been missing.

I hated the idea at first.

It felt like a morphine hit. Something to mask the pain while the real problems stays.

I get that he’ll mentor the younger guys and bring experience, but one year just doesn’t feel like enough. We seem to be the only club in league history handing out one year deals to players who’ve already signed elsewhere. It just reeks of desperation.

But if there’s one thing Luai guarantees, it’s personality.

He’ll give us swagger. Confidence. A bit of arrogance. Someone who actually drags people into the fight.

We’re desperate for that. The culture still needs fixing. The roster still needs fixing.

But for now… I’ll happily take the morphine hit.

  • Although we fell short on the one that mattered, look at what Jason Taylor brought in his 1 year stint in 2001.
