Unique to the land of OZ. 100% Australian. Over 650 species.
Mine is Eucalyptus Pongo. Very rare. Grows along the banks of small rivers. Unusual odor. Keeps the mozzies at bay. And the birds. Nondescript flowers said to make good soup when used with the leaves--favoured by squatters and North Queenslanders.

I like the Eucalyptus Ganja species
My favourite is eucalyptus microcorys or Tallowood.
A beautiful, durable and quality Australian hardwood and the form of the trees whilst growing is fantastic.
Oh, they are a primary food source for koalas too!
Can't find pongo on Google- does it have another name?
They are a nice looking tree though, I agree. I have a shiteload on my property which is good if you want to gaze in amazement at them but not so good when you are after solid hardwood to build the frame and for exposed beams of your new house!
