What is the most painful injury?

Very broad topic and something that won't be 100% answered due to people not experiencing every injury known to man. But what is the most painful injury, is it a broken bone or a torn ligament or something different? I wouldn't know myself as the only thing I've ever done is fractured rib at Oz Tag and that hurt when I breathed or moved around too much. But others here would have played a lot more footy in the past than I have so I ask you guys what is the most painful injury you have had?

  • A kick in the nuts . On the field men can cry with a torn ACL knee area . Off the field are forms  of torture .

  • Well yes I know a hit there hurts, like I've experienced a kidney stone and that is awful

But I'm saying footy injuries, like highly doubt you get a kidney stone from playing footy hahah for example

  • I tore my hamstring badly,  top and bottom insertion playing OZ tag ( soft! I know) That hurt so much, like 10 times the worst hammy cramp. Chronic gout leading to a gouty bursitis in the foot ( due to an autoimmune disease) is worse than childbirth, well thays what i tell my  Mrs.

So i need a mum on here who has torn their hammy and or had gout to confirm it is worse than childbirth.

    • Well my mother has both childbirth and kidney stone and said Stone was equal In pain

Though not sure on Gout and torn Hammy

    • I had a work colleague who was pregnant tell me that when her sister gave birth, the baby's melon tore her vag so much she needed 47 stitches to sew it back together

    • I've heard that myself, ex footy players say they rather break a rib than have rib cartilage injury

    • It's really sharp, almost needle like pain too. It's like the worst, most acute cramp you've ever had. You just can't breathe.

  • I had rib cartlidge damage once, not through footy. It was in my memory as being the worst, and Ive broken bones and had ligament tears. Initial pain up there with broken bone but different, more so that it keeps hurting for days.

  • My top 3 I've had

    1) groin muscle tear, you just don't realise how much those muscles get used with every movement, and they take forever to fully heal

    2) rib cartilage, definitely worse than a cracked rib, and again take forever to heal

    1) getting hit in the nuts playing cricket, the pain comes in waves and just doubles you over

  • It has to be mental damage--- very difficult to repair
