No. Double down. Rules of family is whoever it matters more to, wins out, and given your husband isn't even a Newcastle supporter, it should be your say! Parra all the way.
Personally I don't like parents brainwashing their kids to support a particular club. Let them choose for themselves. My dad is a Bulldogs supporter and he didn't try to influence me to follow them when I was young (thank god!). I'm very thankful that I wasn't 'coerced' to follow another team because I'd likely be a Dogs supporter now, which would be the most horrible thing that I can imagine.
There is only one rule re footy in my house. You either follow Parra or enjoy the street life.
When I have kids, they shall support Parramatta. No ifs, no buts. I grew up surrounded by blue and gold and they will too.
Get them to support the Mighty Eels. You don't want any affiliation to the "Nanna Knights".
