WHAT IS DOING WITH TAHU.

Ever since Tahu came back from rugby he seems to have become a human headline and none of it good. what is this guy thinking ?? i tend to think although he is a good player i'de be showing him the door. we dont need him and his political racial stuff going on . now again lawyers have become involved and again it drags our team in the mud. i think tahu should get out and go take up some kind of political career speaking for his people and not giving our team a bad name . parra already have enough problems. fair dinkum i dont know where this guys head is at. ???

  • As many of us have said before, for Tahu, he needs to take some time off, and get his head right.

Evidently, he has had a disruptive year from the Andrew Johns racial remarks, to his suspension for the high shot in the Knights game, and even now with this potential race row with the 16 year old kid.

In order to get back to the Tahu that we have seen destroy opposition teams, he needs to go away, spend some time with his family, even go on a holiday, and come back stronger, both physically and mentally.
  • I definitely agree with all these sentiments, that's exactly what I think he should do as well.
  • hes too good to let go. remember todd carney and the raiders? we need him. if ya cant handle him at his worst ya dnt deserve him at his devastating best.
  • Fully agree. he needs time away to get his head straight and get back to the T we know he can be
  • Cheers LB44.
It's the best thing for Tahu to do, so that he can come back without any of the crap lingering over him for 2011.
  • Those who are hoping to waiting for a miracle return of Tahu to his peak form forget about it - by the time this happens he will be retired.
As usual there will people will say "we need him" but by that stage we would have continued to pay out a bucket load of money for a player that under performs. Since he has come back he has done very little and honestly I cannot see this changing and would not be concern if Tahu moved on.
  • I think in some games this year he has proved he can still play well, i.e. in the two games against the Bulldogs and also against the Rabbitohs earlier in the season (when we won 22-8), but that's just my opinion; I think he can be a very valuable member of our team for the coming years if we stick with him and allow him time to recuperate from the troubles he has had this year.
  • Hes still a very capable player, otherwise i doubt he would have been selected in the Australian squad, so obviously the Australian selectors still class him to be in the upper echelon of players in this country. Just needs to get his headspace right, and maybe Kearney may be the man to do it. Heres hoping so
  • Well said!!!

Dont forget people former greats have been pissed off from clubs before

    Bennett Got rid of Lewis
    Smith got Rid of Mason

    I say lets start fresh!!!!!
  • That was not passion, spirit & mongrel - brain explosion and stupidity more like it!.. The Knights game you refer to was the fist game Tahu played for weeks after sulking from the Andrew Jones comments around S.O.O . Tahu's display in that game was disgraceful getting binned for 10 minutes for a cheap shot, resulting in a 4 weeks suspension. What value did he serve in that game and weeks after that to the team - Nothing which is exactly true to his form that Tahu has shown since he has come back for union. I am sick and tired of hearing give him time to get his shit together or he needs a break - For #$!& sake piss him off and get rid of him
