  Top 8 would be bare minium id consider top 4 and a semi final appearance as a good year. But unless gutho has an amazing year its unlikely

  Brown stated the other day top 4 is the goal, so id say top 4 and winning the comp is the goal.

  Anything below top 8 would be a failure imo. They maybe shooting for too 4 but I think that's BAs way of giving some breathing room and still keeping the troops up if they finish 7th or 8th

    Agree missing the 8 will be a huge fail, there will be no excuses this year, Brads chosen not to get a stand in real deal half or quality hooker, if Corey goes out injured, Brad will have no excuses.

    And part of me thinks that's a good thing as he is firstly looking to the future not just this season and secondly that he feels secure in his job which also makes a big difference in his decision making

  Premiership. We have the combination of players of whom are experienced and game hardened. 2016 will only inspire greater performances.

   We are in the NRL competition for one reason and one reason alone. That is to win the Grand Final. Anything else is a failure. To come second is a fail. To come fourth is a fail. To come eighth is a fail. To come last, of course, is failure. Until we adopt that philosophy, we will continue to fail.  A lot of NFL owners adopt that philosophy--that is why so many NFL coaches disappear after a year or two or less. Someone said last week that if the Eels get the wooden spoon this year BA should be signed for life because of the wonderful job he is doing!! We would get a lot of wooden spoons if we did that. The season has not started yet, so lets give the players and the coach a cut of some slack. We may do better than some appear to imagine.
