There has been plenty of robust discussion on this site for years regarding the credentials and value of BA as our head coach.
I don't want to reignite that debate because it's been done to death.
What I want to know is, if the Eels made the Grandfinal and won (or even just put in a great performance and came close), would those who have been critical of BA and continually called for his head retract their opinions and become fully fledged Arthur supporters?

Obviously he would've only won the GF because he read 1EE and took the advice of the armchair critics on board.
🤣👏
Fuck we're good here aren't we? Unless we tank of course then it's all his fault for not listening (the dope).
I am sure everyone would love BA if he tooks us to a GF. Our roster is not as good as Storms and Panthers. For this year, I would be happy if he takes us to a prelim final and we give our oponents a tough battle.
Yep that's where I'm at too.
If we lose this week I think the club needs to act. We've gone backwards and there's no reason to suggest next year will be better.
If we lose week 2 I still think the club needs to consider its options.
If we make the prelim and given the lack of quality options I'd be inclined to let him see out his 2022 contract.
But in all of those options there are lots of factors to consider outside of where we finish in the finals.
If we didn't embarrass ourselves in the preliminaries I'd be signing the bloke for a 2 year extension win or lose. There will be plenty of clubs enquiring about his services considering he'd be going into his final year.
That'd mean we either knocked over South's or Penruff in the semis and put up a good fight against Storm or Manly in the GF qualifier . I'd call that a pretty successful campaign stopping short of winning a GF .
if we lose against Newcastle or look like fools against Souffs or The Riff , then I'm with you Mutts.
This finals series is a very interesting one. I would say we have a good shot of winning the grand final if we could get there (versing Storm or Panthers). Storm and Panthers have a better roster than us. But I would say we have a better roster than Sea Eagles and Bunnies. However we match up better against Storm and Panthers and have a greater chance beating them in comparison to when we verse the expansive and lethal attacks of Bunnies (even without Latrell. Walker is more dangerous) and Manly Trbjoevics. So if Storm and Panthers win this week we verse either Bunnies or Manly. So perhaps our hardest match will be week 2 of the finals.
Repeat that please.
Happy Days Good Johnny I thought you didn't want to reignite the Debate.that's like im not an anti vacer But . As you said this subject has been done to death .Sorry but just my humble opinion.
It goes both ways, if we lose week 1 of finals against a very ordinary knights will BA's biggest supporters change their mind and admit there needs to be a change at the head coach position?.
For me a win week 2 is required for BA to keep his job, a narrow competitive loss will probably be enough to keep my calls for his sacking at bay.
I would never be a whole hearted supporter of any coach or player
But I will be forever grateful and wouldn't be upset if he got a contract extension
