What has been your most ill-timed accidental wound?

I am playing with my band in about 2 hours.I went to Bunnings and bought some tools today. As per the usual trend everything is in those fecking vacuum formed plastic packaging. On of the tools is a utility knife.I used scissors to cut the pack off and started to use it,to cut through the packaging of the next tool.

Uh-oh FAAARRK! I can confirm it is sharp as hell.I just sliced through the balls of two fingers and they are leaking a lot of claret. What a time to cut fingers that I will be using soon.I don't want to let the boys down and cancel the gig so after my shower,I'll wrap the hell out of them and hope they don't bleed all over my keyboard.Thank God I am not playing guitar or bass these days ,otherwise the gig would be a washout.

    • I tripped over the tap on NYE 2001 , sprained ankle , it was a balloon.

continued on pushed it into a stiletto and hobbled from George st to manly and back again.

by 2am I couldn't walk and the firies gave me some piggy backs.

a man in a 1965 red convertible Buick took pitty on me and drove me and my friend home down George st at 3am home to gladesville!!

      what a night lol

  • I am going to wrap both fingers in sport strapping tape to ensure the Band -Aids don't come off. This is the same bloody hand that I nearly lost 8 years ago to a huge glass cut.At least I stop[ bleeding very quickly.Wish me luck that I don't srew up too badly tonight. At least I won't have to haul any speakers tonight.

  • We’re you married then CarloEel2?

    • No if I was I would hope the husband would piggy back lol

      • So you were anattached at the time ? Gee, why wasn’t there in a 57 Chevy :(

  • I was on tour with my band, first gig, first song of the set, going into the first chorus of the song, decided to try the big rock god scissor kick and ripped my left calf from Achilles to the bottom of my knee. It felt like I had been shot. I have never been in so much pain. The tear was so bad you could feel it when you rubbed your hand along my leg. The worst part was we had to catch a flight from St.Louis to Denver that night, got off the plane in Denver and my whole lower left leg had swollen to the size of a watermelon. Had to sit down for the rest of the 6 week tour.

  • Thats commitment!

  • What’s wrong with a 57 Chevy, Grunts?

  • Stress fractures in my back from playing cricket as a young bloke.  Pretty much have broken and disclosed most of the fingers on both hands.
