I understand and respect that Eels fans are disgruntled atm and are entitled to their opinions. However, I am petty shocked at the proportion of fans on this site who appear to have no faith in the coach or our players, in particular:
1. BA - he is not a premiership coach yet, and may never be. But in my opinion, he has achieved enough in his storied 5 seasons at the club to warrant being safe for now; we finished 4th last year. He is under pressure, no doubt, but he deserves more respect for his ability imo.
2. Corey Norman - I cannot understand the negativity. It seems to be an idea that has snow balled shamelessly. He made the maroons emerging squad this year and was singled out by Walters as a player that caught his eye. His attacking stats are better than Mose's stats this year and, defensively, he craps on Moses. No half shines whilst their forwards get dominated, nor when the entire team under performs. Norman has not played well, granted, but he does not deserve to be singled out the way he has.
3. Depth - before a ball was kicked this season, fans and many commentators were raving about the Eels depth. In fact, it was a feature of any discussion around the Eels 2018 prospects. 4 games in and apparently no player contracted to the Eels is up to first grade level, nor are any of the Wenty players worth chancing. It is a complete 180 and it is without substance. An entire club cannot lose wholesale ability in 4 weeks.
We are in a rough patch, no doubt. Is there something rotting behind the scenes? Possibly. But let's back our team and our coach to fix it. I will be punting half my pay packet on the Eels this week and can't wait to support them again.

I think that Brad Arthur has had ample time to fix problems! He has the team and players he wanted and could have recruited more if desired to do so as their was ample cash to purchase players. Everything that has evolved is basically due to his inexperience and lack of quality as a genuine professional coach and now it’s obvious for everyone to witness first hand! He has buried himself and the club into a deep hole and we as supporters are basically fed up with this rubbish year after year and coach after coach! This needs to be fixed and the sooner the better, no more excuses!

We finished 4th last year Monto. That is the best result the Eels had experienced for a decade. We lost Semi but gained Hayne, Evans and Williams. We are in a slump, not a deep hole, and will come good starting this weekend.
Its not just here, anybody thinking this place is any different is wrong.
Pop over to the clubs official facebook site and read the over 4000 comments of abuse over the last few weeks, Twitter and LU are the same.
Brad lost the majority fans unfortunately yesterday, thats very apparent by reading the online eels community.
I used to have a bit of sympathy for BA, not any more, this is a coaching and preparation problem if ive ever seen one
I'm not suggesting this site is any different to any other medium commenting on the Eels. My point still stands - I am shocked by the proportion of doom sayers and find it largely unsubstantiated.
Lol. That comment was a little cowboyish to muster up some enthusiasm - I've almost never bet more than $20 on a single bet in my life. Love a sportsbet multi though and will definitely have the Eels down for a win.
Bro weve not won anything in decades and had a lot of disappointment, promises, talk and garbage, im shocked you are shocked and cant understand it Johnny.
I dont agree its unsubstantiated either.
Agree we have won nothing and sympathise with the decade of disappointment call. But 4th last year was sensational given our 3 decades of rot and the negativity since then has been an over-reaction.
