I would like to open the floor to the members of this site. In order to help this site grow and further evolve we would like to know how to make the site more member friendly. We want the site to be getting more and more hits on Google as well as help it to become the main Parramatta (Unofficial) Supporter's Site.
Moderation is a sensitive issue. As you all know the moderators on here are all volunteers and do their best in regards to keeping the site clean. What I want to know is where you guys think the moderators could alter their style or if there is a process that should be implemented to help the moderators.
Are there areas of the site that can be improved? Or are there things you'd like to see on the site? On a related note I have been slowly updating the information for players/squad members. This is a long process and requires a lot of research so it does take time to do. If anyone wants to help let me know, I think someone is helping at the moment or volunteered to help but it wasn't followed up but I can't remember.
The site wasn't built from scratch as such. It runs off a platform called Ning which means the site is limited to what it can do.
As has been running for the past few weeks I have been writing a Daily piece for the front page to keep it fresh. If anyone has any suggestions for it ie what content they'd like to see or if it's fine the way it is. Just a note on that. In order to update that part it requires coding in html so it does take time so again it is limited with what can be written there.
I look forward to seeing your ideas.

Access via desktop or use desktop view on your phone and you'll see it.
Basically, it seems the club stuff can sometimes result in very little footy talk, and the site becomes more about people's politicized agendas. I prefer the footy talk, obviously, no matter how fractious it can be.
Otherwise I have nothing to contribute, as I think the moderators tend to do a decent job keeping discussion friendly enough.
PS: calls for Ben Roberts to be sacked are an exception to my suggested keep-it-clean rule.
Interesting point Daz. Given we like to market the site as a truly open forum we don't like to prevent people from expressing their opinion on the club. Obviously we do moderate a comment if it breaks law/code of conduct. I agree that it there is no sense in simply blaming everything on the board but we'd be nothing but hypocrites if we censored those comments.
Politics isn't for everyone. We have started a group called My Eels for political and club related discussion. Obviously it has leaked outside there as it is only a small group. The political talk had died down after the election until Phil was suspended. Obviously the more the Eels win the more that will fade into the background.
Thanks for that Daz.
Thanks for those Mack. With Number 1 that is a more than valid point. That would help to cut down needless blogs. Obviously mods aren't on 24/7 so maybe we could look at a way of members notifying us of either a duplicate blog or blog that is more of a comment.
On point 2 I myself have been doing that as much as I can. I'll either post the link or the full article. Again if a blog does pop up with no info feel free to drop me a line and I'll get an article linked to it. Given we're all human and we do miss things it always helps if someone notifies us of it and let's us no so we can deal with it.
Thanks again Mack.
How about actual interviews with players? I would like to know how they feel about the game plan for that week or what went wrong/right on Game Day. Hard for us who lives in the sticks to know wtf is happening at the club...maybe some more club news instead of rumours...
It will add a but of creditably to the site.
I like the club info suggestion interviews etc would be nice.
yeah my cousin's friend's cousin who lives down the road from his best friend cousin who's married to his fourth cousin five times remove agrees with you
This would help keep them clean and not become a risk for litigation?
Also if it is just a poll and an answer than people can be less critical and insulting if they are given an option to answer A, B, C or D?
